Meet Glory Days Apparel Brand Ambassador - McKenzie...
McKenzie, also known as Kenzie, is 22 years old and currently lives in Concord, NC and graduated from First Assembly Christian School in 2013. McKenzie has danced competitively since the age of two. All that training led her to cheer on the sidelines of the Charlotte 49ers as a member of the Gold Duster's Dance Team at UNC Charlotte.
McKenzie now teaches dance at Dance Productions - the Remix. Kenzie has also grown up competing in pageants, but not the "Toddler's & Tiara's" type.. She won Miss North Carolina's Outstanding Teen in 2011 and placed in the Top12 at Miss America's Outstanding Teen. She then served as Miss Cabarrus County, Miss Queen City, and as Miss Mecklenburg County... Then, drumroll please!... was crowned Miss North Carolina in 2016!!! She brought home a talent award from Miss America in Atlantic City and recently crowned her successor in June.
Kenzie grew up in Concord, moved to Charlotte for college, lived in Raleigh throughout her year traveling as Miss NC, and is back for good! Aside from dance and pageants, she is a corgi pup obsessor and avid Insta-user, which led her to discover Glory Days Apparel. Her favorite GDA shirt is... all of them! But, she's a sucker for the Panther's line.
Kenzie's favorite spot to hang out is anywhere sports related, but biased to the Charlotte Motor Speedway because she grew up at the track when her dad raced in NASCAR and now as both her dad and brother race Legend cars. Feed her Zaxby's or Jimmy Johns and she'll be one happy girl. Buy her a "sweet and girlie" tasting drink and she'll be even happier. Embarrassing story is more of a fact that needs to be changed quick... All these years and Kenzie has never been to a Hornet's game.
We'll get her to change that this year and even sport some Glory Days Apparel Hornet's themed gear. I first met McKenzie when she reached out to me/the brand about helping sponsor her and some other pageant winners. I was impressed with all her achievements but more so all the time and hard work she put in to achieve so much. We're looking forward to having Kenzie on the team and continuing to make an impact on her peers!
